Privacy Steps You Can Take

TURN OFF GEOLOCATION SETTINGS
If you use Firefox, turn off geolocation in your browser. Visit this Firefox support site and click on the section entitled “How do I turn off Location-Aware Browsing permanently?”

Also, your computer, tablet or phone may ALSO have geolocation settings turned on. If you have all the neat features to show you local restaurants and attractions, you’re telling the world pretty much where you are at any given time.

CHANGE YOUR BROWSER’s USER AGENT STRING
The User Agent String is displayed to the remote web server EVERY time you connect. This includes information such as what browser you are using, what operating system you are running, what variants and updates may be applied. These, over the course of time, can become another piece of the puzzle in helping to identify you. So, change it! Use the links below and follow their instructions. You might consider changing your string to Mac if you’re a Windows user or changing it to Linux if you’re a Mac user — or whatever. Just CHANGE it.
